Aquaponics is a method of growing fish and plants together. In which, toxic fish waste is converted into non-toxic plant nutrients by beneficial microbes. Plants take up nutrients, which in turn purify the water. Clean water is sent back to fish tanks to complete the loop. Commercial aquaponics is an infact state in India but more and more farms are coming up and showing its profitability. In aquaponics farming, the grower gets dual income of fish and plants.
